The state of technology is changing rapidly, but we believe it is navigable when based in principle and transparency.
Ghost Tractor makes extensive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), but tempered with the belief that it can be best leveraged by using it for organization, data interpretation and automated tasks, but should never be used for unalterable managerial decision making, or replacing the creative drive of the author or creator.
Current trends in the greater Web ecosystem show that SaaS services, large corporations, and even our most trusted institutions reap intellectual property and web use to train their LLM models, sell your information, serve you advertisements and generally look at their users as a revenue stream.
This is why Ghost Tractor focuses on functionality of local desktop capability, no stored user telemetry, privacy and the bare minimum of interaction with the outside web as possible. Ghost Tractor has no user information to sell, ad preferences to serve, or knowledge of your IP to train AI models.
These defining principles governs the products we make and the clarity and assurance we provide our customers. Recent advances in AI quantization allows reliable local operation for the first time, for end-user systems equipped with a minimum amount of VRAM. No longer tied to online data centers for processing, there are no monthly fees, API keys, token purchases or subscriptions to purchase.

…Headed by a Solo Founding Developer with over 30 years in the tech industry and a taste for literature, data, CMS systems, and web development. Located in the Greater Austin, Texas area, Bryan loves nothing more than visualizing what workflows and processes can be.
Argo Composer was conceived at the beginning of 2026 when I was looking into the possibility of writing a novel that I had been knocking around my brain for a long while. As a techie, and as I would identify later as a “plotter,” I was looking into tools, organizers and suites for writing… and was quite disappointed. The solutions I found were either archaic, deeply unrefined, expensive and/or insecure, and had a tendency to train other people’s LLMs. There had to be a better way.
So, I made one.
